10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2024 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO AT THE BISTRO Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Ahhh, June 2024, is here; I'm not sure if I even got to enjoy any part of spring — did we have one? Our crazy weather this year has often been the subject of long conversations! This past week when I collected my morning newspaper from the driveway, prior to leaving on my walk, I found that the newspaper, thankfully was still being delivered wrapped in plastic. The morning dampness or fog is so heavy with moisture that the plastic cover is wet with condensed drops but not raindrops because it hasn't rained. That's a lot of humidity for our desert area and me too, I miss the sun! Juneteenth will be celebrated on Sat. June 15 at Four Seasons. The Bid Whist Plus group has put together some great music and food choices. Francisco is offering Seafood Gumbo with rice for $19.95, Fried Chicken, mashed potato and corn for $15.95, and Meatloaf, mashed potato and coleslaw for $15.95. If not your pleasure, request it, with advance notice MAYBE he can accommodate you! These meals must be ordered and paid for by Thurs., June 13. One form for each check! The form to fill out for your order is available at the Bistro counter, it also includes a choice of time to pick up your food: 5 pm, 5:15 pm, 5:30 pm, 5:45 pm. We hope this speeds up food delivery and waiting in line. A space has been added for a tip, many people think that "take out" or "to go" food orders don't deserve tipping because they didn't serve your food. Technically, they did serve you! They bring your food from the kitchen whether in a box or on a plate going to a table. Please remember those servers give up their off-work time to come in and help box your food, eating utensils, napkins and condiments if needed, then put it all in a carry bag, tag it with your name, and then deliver it to you or the pickup station. Then the real fun starts by making sure those bags or boxes get into the hands they are meant for. Everyone and everything has to work as smoothly as possible and this is done as a convenience to you, so please appreciate the value of our staff 's time & effort. Thank you. Just for a smile or chuckle, "Did you know June 21 is "Take Your Dog to Work Day?" Most people here are retired — OH NO! Is that fair to your four pawed darling? NO WORRY, have any one of those darlings phone me. I will tell them, you know, "It doesn't get any better than a wonderful morning walk with your best friend and know that you are really, really loved!" Amen. Sun., June 16 will be a repeat of last years Father's Day Special - Breakfast: eggs and corned beef hash, potato with toast for $12.95 OR heuvos campensinos, eggs and pork chile verde over potatoes and tortilla for $12.99. For lunch: Parmesan cheese burger on sourdough with fries for $12.99. The lucky winners of Francisco's Free Sunday Brunch for Two are Paul and Debbie Borrott. Their ticket was drawn by Brenda Beers after the BOD meeting and election of BOD members. That's me, Patt double "T" Bistro Committee
