The Taste d'Vine Wine Club bylaws state that there will be an election of officers every two years. The offices are President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The election takes place at the general meeting in October. All members in good standing may ask to be considered for any of the offices. Many of the current officers have decided to stay on for another two-year term but that does not preclude other members for vying for a spot. A possible candidate for these positions must be in good standing and attend three Steering Committee meetings during the year. Steering Committee members meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 pm in the RCN Conference Room. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at gdomico@ gmail.com. Now that that's over, let's talk wine. This month Shawn Klezovich, the beverage manager at Gerrards Market, will present samples of wine that Gerrards sells. Gerrards Market opened in Redlands in 1930 by Albert Gerrard. The family owned the market until 1999 when they sold to two other families who continue to operate the store today. For a small family market, they have an extensive wine aisle. Shawn is sure to bring out some great wines to sample and purchase. ~ Gino Domico, gdomico@gmail.com 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2024 Our May gathering was chilly, but we had a good turnout with 17 cars and trucks showing up. Mike Flowers and his wife Maureen showed up in style with three amazing automobiles: a bright red 2023 Corvette Z06, a 2024 John Cooper works (A.K.A Mini Cooper), and a beautiful white Porsche 911 GTS. Mike and Maureen Love their cars and drive them regularly; they are not garage queens. If you want more info, contact me or Rick (registration forms will be available at The Lodge). Rocky Shaw his wife Lisa, my wife Pam, and I attended the Seal Beach Car show in April. It was fantastic with more than 700 cars on display. If you have never been it is a MUST-see car show. Some of the stars of the show were a 100-year-old wooden truck and the new Tesla all-electric truck. Personally I do not like it but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We meet the first Saturday of every month at 9 am at The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting will be on June 1. Please join us for some hot coffee, donuts, and some great conversation.
