FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2024 43 Hope you had the opportunity to see the PAC Four Seasons of Men-o-pause. It was a wonderful show and thank you to all the residents who gave their time performing or handling all the needs to put on a great show, and of course, the audience! A special thank you to Donna Sweeney who jumped in at the last minute to assist with the cast mics. Auditions for the next show are scheduled for Sunday, June 2 from 1 to 3 pm in the Ballroom. No info on the show name yet as we haven't finalized on the scripts but it may be a comedy and a western. The date of the show is Aug. 24, and weekly rehearsals start in late June or early July. Our next feature will be Radio Show Theater, with shows to be performed Aug. 24, directed again by Tom Wasco. Weekly rehearsals will begin in late June or early July. All are welcome to audition. Cast members read off scripts, so if you would like to venture into the world of theater, this is a good start. Our Four Seasons Handbell Choir Spring concert, "Americana and Folk Tunes," is Thursday, June 6 at 6 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. This a free event and donations are welcome. Watch for f lyers. Our next bi-monthly meeting will be July 8 at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. Come join and meet new friends, get show updates, and just have fun. PAC offers free entertainment to our community with various shows and events throughout the year. All interested residents are welcome. As the warmth of summer approaches, many of us yearn for cooler coastal breezes and the soothing sound of crashing waves. Luckily, our upcoming community trips offer just that, along with a dash of culture and culinary delights. First stop: Santa Monica in June. Picture yourself strolling along the iconic pier, feeling the ocean breeze and taking in breathtaking views. Just a couple of blocks away awaits a treat for foodies — the vibrant Santa Monica Farmers Market. Indulge in locally-grown fruits, cheeses, and other delectable finds. July brings us to Laguna Beach where we'll be enchanted by the Pageant of the Masters. This unique event, a true gem for art lovers, showcases living pictures that recreate famous artworks with astonishing detail and creativity. Prepare to be dazzled by the fusion of live performances and classic masterpieces. In August, our destination is San Diego's Little Italy. Here, we'll embark on a culinary adventure with a lunch on your own at one of the area's renowned eateries. But the excitement doesn't end there — we'll also set sail on a captivating two-hour cruise around the bay. Get ready to marvel at the sight of majestic navy ships and catch glimpses of the bustling Naval base. Our June 15 meeting features Jonathon Cerreta from Colette Tours. He'll unveil a journey to Italy, a dream destination for many. From the rolling hills of Tuscany to the historic streets of Rome, this trip will be a cultural experience with culinary delights that will leave lasting memories. As we embrace the spirit of adventure and exploration this summer, let's come together to create unforgettable moments and celebrate the beauty of our world, one destination at a time.
