FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2024 55
Quilting Enthusiasts
Aw, it's summer, I think. When I last looked at the weather for
Beaumont, it was raining with snow forecast for the mountains. That
was on May 2! I really think that Mother Nature completely forgot
about spring and summer is just around the corner. In May the
Quilting Enthusiasts held a "bag class" taught by one of our members,
Jeri Sorensen. It was a great success. If you missed out please contact
us and we can schedule another one later.
Here is the information concerning our upcoming Quilt Show.
2024 FSQE Quilt Show dates:
Show: Sunday, Sept. 15, 10 am to 3 pm
Entry Form deadline: Aug. 23,
Quilt Drop Off: Sept. 5, 10 am to 12 pm
We are adding several interactive displays that show what's involved
in creating a "quilt" and what makes a quilt a quilt. There is a Chance
Quilt, maybe two of them. So keep your eyes out. Invite your quilting
friends and family to the show!
Peace through quilting. All levels of sewers and want-to-be quilters
are ALL welcome! ~ Mary M. Moody-Cox, (808) 430-7469
Crafty Cardmakers
The Crafty Cardmakers meet on the second and fourth Fridays of
the month. We make three cards, all occasion, and you only need
to bring is your own glue and scissors. The cost is $10 to cover
materials. Your cards include envelopes and will be ready to mail.
We have a wonderful group of participants and would love to have
you at our next class. If you would like to be part of the group, call or
email me with your name, phone number, and email address and I
will add your name to our monthly email list.
If you plan to come to class, please RSVP by the Tuesday before
the class so I will have enough kits for everyone. For info, contact
Patty Grana at granamemories@roadrunner.com or (626) 862-2652.
