The Women's Golf Club plays their annual three-round Club Championship on June 20 and 24 ending with the final round on June 27. There are three to four flights, depending upon how many golfers sign up to play and there is a champion in each flight as well as the overall Club Champion. Spectators are encouraged to follow the field of leaders on the final round. It's a chance to watch some spectacular golf and take a drive on our magnificent golf course. For the starting time of the Championship flight on Thurs., June 27, please contact the Pro Shop. For any other information regarding our club, talk to some of the members. We're friendly and love to talk golf. We play every Thursday and on the first Saturday of the month. You don't have to be a good golfer — we have all levels and ages out playing. You don't even have to have a handicap — you can establish that when you join. If you love to golf and want to meet some other golfing ladies, come join us. Ladies Executive Golf Over 30 LEGS members attended the annual tournament at the Highland Springs Country Club and it turned out to be a fun-filled golf day for everyone. This is a tournament that everyone looks forward to and next year LEGS will host the tournament here on our course. We encourage all the ladies to sign-up to play. We held our three-week eclectic tournament and the first place winners were A Flight – Joan Glenn; B Flight – Anita Thacker; C Flight – Joy Chung; and D Flight – a two-way tie between Candi Christopher and Valerie Crithfield. During our open play days, Dokcha Hong won the closest to the pin, and Judy Jones won the putting contest with her hole-in-one putt. Congratulations to all the winners! We invite you to come out and play a round of golf with our fun- loving ladies.
