Your continued patience is greatly appreciated. A little inconvenience now will be so worthwhile when finished. That said, now that the weather is warming up we look forward to spending lots of time with friends and family dining al fresco on the Veranda while we listen to fun music and dance the nights away. The Sandwedge Bar & Grill is open Tuesday through Sunday, and the Lobby Bar is open most weekends. We have some fun days coming up: Wed., June 12 is National Peanut Butter Cookie Day there will be something for every peanut butter fan, not just cookies, but Sundaes and special cocktail "Peanut Butter Screwballs." Father's Day Weekend is Fri., June 14 through Sun., June 16. Honor our real time heroes, dads and granddads. Make their weekend memorable. All three days there will be lots of Burger and Sandwich Specials for lunch and Steak Specials for dinner. Remember, "Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad." Sat., June 29 is National Waffle Day. Enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Trivia: The world's biggest waffle was eight feet long and weighed 110 pounds. Sun., June 30: You mustn't forget our end-of-the-month Brunch Extravaganza in the Ballroom. Remember, for all events and dining, your entire party must be present before seating. Call early for reservations at (951) 769-6654. In case you didn't know, California has passed "SB478." How this pertains to us: as of June 17, service charges, (server gratuity) will no longer be included in your bill. That means our current 15 percent gratuity which goes to staff will be removed. The hourly wage of our servers is below that of many of the local fast food and other dining spots. Please tip your servers in cash, credit card, or on your house account. Show them they are appreciated by leaving the standard 18 - 22%. We have a loyal staff; they try to be accommodating and helpful to all members; let's make sure they know we care. Mark your calendars for our upcoming Fourth of July Parade and all the incredible festivities SLCC is known for. Your grandkids will love it and so will you. The Sandwedge Bar & Grill is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays. Golfers, it's a great place to enjoy the U.S. Open with neighbors and friends.
