4 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JULY 2024 Community Updates By Tyler Barber, Property Services Manager Take A Look As you may know, I walk my inspections. Meaning, I get a good look at all the properties within the Community. And you know what I have noticed? That many, many properties look beautiful and neat. And trust me, that is not the heat talking for me. I am glad that I have the opportunity to see these things, and so should you. If you get the chance to look around the Community, look around and see all the blooms and the neat landscaping your neighbors promote. Violations: Opened - 29; Closed - 9 Action Items (information is accurate as of June 11, 2024) • The zip ties holding the trespassing signs up along the Paseo are to be riveted on or screwed on, and the missing signs are to be added to appropriate areas. • The Association is going out to bid for Vendors for the mailbox security project. • The Association continues to search for Vendors to assist in getting ceiling appliances to replace the ballroom chandeliers. By Karl Edwards, Board Member The Honor Flight's mission is to celebrate America's Veterans by bringing them together to share in a weekend of honor in Washington DC. They will visit the memorials built to commemorate their service and sacrifice. The vision is a nation where all of America's veterans experience the honor, gratitude, and community of support they deserve. Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives Veterans the opportunity to share this momentous occasion with other comrades, remember the fallen, and share their stories and experiences with other Veterans. Top priority for the trip is given to the most senior Veterans, those who have terminal illnesses, and those who served in WWII, Korea, or Vietnam. Each Veteran is provided with a guardian who assists them in their travel. If you are selected, the Honor Flight is at no cost to you and includes your flight, hotel accommodations, and meals thanks to generous donations to the Honor Flight Network. For more information, go to honorflight.org. By the way, one of our very own Del Webb residents, Bob Wright, was on the Honor Flight from San Diego to Washington, D.C. in May 2022. Bob's comment on his experience: "It wasn't on my bucket list, but it should have been!" Celebrating Our Veterans… Do You Know About The Honor Flight? By Georgeanne Wellfare Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to the Veterans & Friends Memorial Day Event & Silent Auction! A large number of brats and hot dogs with all the fixings were consumed along with beers and sodas. The Silent Auction was a big hit with over 60 items being sold. The profits from this event will go a long way to help local veterans and others in need. For the Fourth of July, we anticipate having a beer booth at the Lifestyle function at the Lodge. Even though we have no general meetings in July or August, we will continue to visit Mt. San Jacinto College and provide items from the college veterans pantry to those who are attending summer classes. Thank you for your continued support! Stay tuned for future events.
