We meet each month on the first Monday from 1 to 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Bus Room and the third Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Contact Thomas May for further information at (951) 743-2127 or email thomasmay0922@gmail.com. You have an idea for a writing project fleshed out in your brain. You set about the challenge to develop your writing idea on paper (or computer). How do you measure your progress? Several approaches apply to each stage of your project. During development, you might share your work with others. The feedback you get can be valuable, providing "a-ha" moments of discovery. You can discover what is working, what needs to be fleshed out, and where changes are necessary. When you have a rough draft completed, you might want to give a recital to assess whether your work has its desired reception. This could be a narration for a short story or poem, an enactment for a play, or a musical rendition for a song. When you are satisfied with the results, your final step is to get your work published. This involves networking, determining appropriate publishers, and the same sorts of auditions you used to complete your creation. Best of luck! Our Creative Writers Club has several experienced writers in many forms of literature. Come join us at Creative Writing Club meetings to share your ideas in a friendly setting, and listen to the writings and opinions of others. You will find this very stimulating. 36 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2024 | Creative Writers Computer Club We are on vacation for July and August.
