| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2024 | 63 Women's Golf Happy July … it's HOT! Summer is here! Consequently, our activities this month are more low key. We take the Fourth of July off and play the other three Thursdays with our third quarter Low Gross/ Low Net falling at the end of the month. Even in the summer, our golf course is in beautiful condition and a fun challenge to play. But we're all looking forward to cooler days. We'd love to have you join us. Ladies Executive Golf LEGS Victorious at Highland Springs Tournament Over 30 LEGS members attended the annual tournament at the Highland Springs Country Club. The day began with breakfast so everyone could meet their team members and socialize with old friends there before the competition began. It was a fun-filled day full of blue skies and sunshine culminating in a delicious lunch followed by the awards presentation. Everyone played their best but at the end of the day, the following ladies were awarded first, second, and third places: 1st Place: Jane Lee and Florence Fanslau; 2nd Place: Patsy Green and Genie Walls; 3rd Place: Joyce Close and Amanda Fitzgerald. A closest-to-the-pin contest was also held and the winners were: Candi Christopher and Pat Echelberger. Congratulations to all the winners! This is a tournament that everyone looks forward to and next year LEGS will host the tournament here on our course. We encourage all the ladies to sign-up to play. We had a great turn out for our monthly putting contest and our winner was Joanne Dixon with a great putt. Great job, Joanne! We invite you to come out and play a round of golf with our fun- loving ladies.
