Please join the Social Sun Lakers (formally known as Social Singles) for a delicious dinner and live entertainment on Fri., July 19 at 5:30 pm, in the South Clubhouse. Thomas Catering will prepare a tantalizing dinner consisting of marsala chicken, mashed potatoes, a veggie, and green salad. There will also be a delicious dessert available to satisfy your sweet craving. After dinner we'll be entertained by the musical group Showdown. They perform country, rock and roll, blues, folk, standards, and R&B. The cost is $22 for members and $25 for guests. If you live in Sun Lakes, and are not a member, you can come one time as a guest and then you will want to join! I know Jim Ball worked so hard to make this happen for us. Thank you Jim! I wish we could have had enough people, apparently not enough interest. Check in at 2 pm; Tournament starts at 2:30 pm. Aug. 10: Luau (North Clubhouse); Contact Theresa Van Haren at (424) 215-4218; 6029 Turnberry Dr. Cost: $25 per person. All checks must be submitted together if you want to sit together (only eight to a table). Sept. 20: 60s & 70s Theme Night featuring our favorite band MLC (Main Clubhouse Ballroom) open to all Sun Lakes residents (details to follow). October: Block Party – Date TBD. Nov. 8: Wine Tasting (South Clubhouse). December: Attend Palm Springs Festival of Lights as a group and dinner afterwards. Dinner to be paid by each person attending. It seems some of the events we are putting on for you may not be of much interest. Please let us know what type of events you are interested in attending. We would like to get some new ideas. Dues are still only $10 per person. We are looking for some new members for our Board.
