Summer is here … Happy Fourth of July!
Jean Svarvar's tappers are "tapping up a storm" practicing for the
Sun Lakes Follies 25th Anniversary presenting their variety show
with singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, etc.
This year their theme is Your Show of Shows coming Oct. 4, 5, and
6 in the Main Clubhouse.
Come by the North Clubhouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9
to 11 am. Jeann would like to invite you to join her classes! Beginning
classes will start after the big show in October.
Tap shoes will be provided and classes are $40. Call Jeann for more

On May 30, Lourdes Lena had the
pleasure of delivering the IDS 2024
scholarship award to Banning High School graduate
Nahul Diaz, while Beverly Guenin delivered the award to
Beaumont High School graduate Suri Madrid. Because of
the generous contributions of "Friends and Well Wishers"
made at the time of our 2023 show, IDS was able to gift
each student $500. Lakana Burkett, IDS Board member,
sweetened the pot with an additional $250 for each student!
Nahul, a musician, will major in Music Education. Suri, a
dancer and community volunteer, has not yet chosen her
major. We wish them well as they continue their education.
