(You don't even have to be Italian.) Join us on Aug. 2 at 5:30 pm in the South Clubhouse with a circus theme and square dancing with a local caller. Don't worry, he'll teach us how. We'll enjoy pizza, salad and ice cream just like under the Big Top. A 50/50 raff le -one ticket for $1 or six for $5 will add to this fun-filled evening. Thinking ahead, September will feature a western theme with David Ambrose, a singing cowboy. Come on down with your cowboy boots to enjoy ribs and beans for a real western theme. Guests may try the club for one time without paying the membership fee and just pay for the dinner, presently $25 now through November, 2024. Memberships for the rest of 2024 are now just $15 pp. You can obtain a 2024 membership form on the SLCC Paisano Club website, or on the Main Clubhouse information shelves. Sign-up deadline for August will be July 26th at 4 pm. If you want to sit with a special friend or at a specific table, please note on the envelope. Dog Owners Summertime, and the living is easy … So come to the Yiddish Culture Club on Tues., July 16 at 6 pm in the South Clubhouse for good food, good friends and good music. Dinner includes chicken and beef tacos with refried beans, rice, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, margaritas, churros, and ice cream. Entertainment will be by Elixir who will play both Mexican music and music by Yiddish songwriters. $20 member; $25 guest. Make check payable to YCC and deliver to the home of Maryanne Kirschbaum at 1942 Fairway Oaks. Payment is due by Tues., July 9. Yiddish Culture Club Arlene's Breakfast Club is a group of wonderful Sun Lakes ladies who enjoy a morning of fellowship and breakfast. We meet at 9 am in the Main Clubhouse Restaurant the second Thursday of each month. We have a variety of speakers on various topics and support our local veterans with donations. Our breakfast is a buffet for $18 including tax and tip. There are no dues; just pay for your meal. We must provide an accurate count to the Restaurant so enough food is prepared.
