You have all received notice that there are three terms on the Board of Directors which will be filled by the upcoming election. Five of you have declared your candidacy: Lois Russell, Michael Ackerman and incumbents Ann Collins, Jay Kuhlman and Scott Goldwasser. This is a self-governing association, and each of you are the "self " part. A candidate forum is planned for the second week in July, your ballots should arrive shortly thereafter, and the election closes with the Annual Meeting on Aug. 15. Please plan on informing yourself and voting. There is also a long-standing vacancy on the Board for a term through August of 2025. The Board earlier planned to fill it by appointment and therefore it was not put on the ballot. Under California law, that term can't now be added to this election. However, the Board retains the authority to appoint a Director to complete that term and may take the results of the election into account if the term remains unfilled at that time. Thank you for your interest in the affairs of your Association.
