62 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2024 Ladies Putters Archery The weather has been warming up so the lady putters have been able to get out a bit more. Many of the gals have improved greatly since starting with our group and their enthusiasm shows. We are always adding more categories which gives everyone more chances to win an award at our awards potluck which we schedule twice a year. So, come on out and join us. It's a low-impact, high fun, and social group, and the best part is no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to come out and give it a try. Our nine-hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. Our putting days/times are Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. These are the words you'll hear shouted from the new Archery Field. We are a growing group with 33 members who have a passion for the world's favorite sport involving arrows and bows. We meet on Wednesdays at 5 pm. From 5 to 6 pm, we warm up with target practice. At 6 pm, each member chooses a partner and plays three games of rock, paper, scissors. The losers put an apple on their heads and line up in front of the bales of hay for a quick game of William Tell. Then we patch up any injuries from 6:30 to 7 pm. At 7 pm we wind down with a game of tag using our bows and arrows followed again by any necessary first aid. Our special event for July is Duck, Duck, Goose. The goose will be shot at by the ducks. If you're interested in this fun-loving group, join us Wednesdays at 5 pm at the Archery Field! Nurses needed. ~ One-eyed Betty The Beaumont Baggers Cornhole Group will have a start-time change effective July 2. In the summer, it cools a bit by 5 pm and there is a beautiful breeze at The Summit. We will be meeting every Tuesday night at 5 pm (previously 4 pm) at The Summit. We choose teammates randomly and singles or couples are all included. Different teams every week allow for different skill levels, a way to meet new friends, and this adds to the fun. No experience, cost, or equipment is necessary for you to bring! Please come through The Summit to our check-in table a little earlier than 4 pm to get your name tag in the hat to get your teammate and to play. Mark your calendar for our NEW 5 pm start time!
