FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2024 59
Fishing Club
I went fishing at Lake Elsinore like I said I was going to do in
my last article. The water was green as grass and dead fish were
f loating all over the place. Needless to say, we did not catch any live
fish. It was a charity event so I donated to the cause.
Summer is finally here. The lakes around here are all stocking
catfish. I plan on going fishing as much as possible this summer.
If you have ever fished for catfish you know they like to eat things
that smell real bad. A friend of mine that owned a fish farm gave me
a recipe for a catfish bait. I feel obliged to give you that secret recipe
so you can catch a bunch of catfish.
You take a Mason jar and fill it with these four ingredients: Eggs,
milk, garlic, and limburger cheese. Mix it up real good, and here is
the real secret, you bury the jar in the ground for four weeks. After
four weeks dig the jar up and take it fishing. Open the jar and dip
your bait into the jar. Guaranteed you will catch a bunch of catfish.
You have to be careful when you are throwing up not to get it all
over the fish you are going to catch. Sometimes you have to take the
bitter with the sweet when you are fishing.

hot weather. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com
Bocce Ball is played on Tuesday and Friday at 8 am at The Summit. This starting time is our summer
schedule. We try to finish before it gets too hot. Within the last few months we have gotten a lot of new
players and, with the regular players, we have a great group of people.
If you are interested in learning the game, please join us. If you have any questions, please call or text
me (840) 234-6494 or email me hanknegrete16@yahoo.com. ~ Hank Negrete
