Roses are red. Violets are blue. And the jet streams of white that crisscross our country's skies are a reminder that freedom and independence were hard fought, and ours to claim. Happy Independence Day to everyone! Every time I dig into the dirt I am reminded of 'For amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties. America! America! God shed His grace on theeā€¦' Not to be taken for granted, and a continual blessing every day. June wrapped up our Fairy Gardens project, and all those who participated fully enjoyed creating their very own Fairyland. The ideas that flowed were endless and these photos captured the moment. On June 20, a group of 21 traveled south to Fallbrook to once again enjoy the lush gardens of Grand Traditions. Beginning our day with Brunch on the Veranda at Beverly Mansion, we detoured to the Mad Potter before returning home. To date, we have no excursions planned for July, but that could change as we move through the month. Watch for eBlasts announcing any plans for trips. July's meeting will again be held in the Arts & Crafts Room on Mon., July 8 at 1 pm. Continued discussions for summer excursions will be discussed, and 'How To' plant herb/vegetable gardens will be the highlights. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend meetings and trips. Sharing gardening tips, traveling together, learning from each other, and cultivating forever friendships are the blooms growing in our gardens. Late Bloomers meets every second Monday of the month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room, unless we meet off-site for unique excursions.
