24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2024 | Our June meeting was awesome with Danza del Sol featuring some of their remarkable wines. Nestled in a 40-acre vineyard, Danza del Sol Winery is located on the De Portola Wine Trail in the heart of Temecula Valley. The winery reflects the spirit of "The Valley" rustic, authentic and bold. We were treated to the following varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Sangiovese and Super Tuscan. A special sparkling wine was featured as well. Enjoy a relaxing visit and wonderful tastings at this winery. Who knows? You might become a member! Cruise the De Portola Wine Trail for other tantalizing discoveries! For our July meeting, we will feature wines from Avensole Winery in Temecula. Nestled along the scenic Rancho California ridgeline in Southern California Wine Country, Avensole Winery's resort-like vineyard estate has been producing some of Temecula Valley's finest grapes for more than four decades. The Winery hours: Monday, 11 am – 6 pm, last tasting – 5 pm, Last pour – 5:30 pm; Tuesday – Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm, last tasting – 4 pm, last pour – 4:30 pm. Their Vineyard has 16 Acres of Vines. Estate varietals grown include Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat Canelli, Old Vine Zinfandel, "Heritage" Zinfandel, Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, and Gewürztraminer. We hope you will join us this month as we learn about another local winery and the goodies they have to offer us! The restaurant is awesome too. This month's meeting is July 25 at 6 pm in the Ballroom. New members always welcome! Yearly membership dues (per person) through 12/31: $30; Monthly Event Participation Fee: $10; Guests or non-members charged $15 to attend meeting. Raffle tickets: 25 tickets for $10 or, 10 for $5. Please bring two wine glasses per person, one for red and one for whites. Optional: appetizer and bottle of wine to share at your table. For the coming summer, or anytime actually, try a new variety using the chart below. It will be fun to see if your tastebuds match these descriptions! Wine Club We have decided to cancel TGIF because of our July Fourth Social Committee's festivities. Get your ticket now. Mark on your calendar for Aug. 2 "Hot August Nights." Just bring a dish to share with six to eight people and enjoy the evening. Social hour from 5 to 5:30 pm; dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 pm; Raffle prizes at 6:30 pm and the rest of the evening is Karaoke /dancing and maybe a big surprise. New residents go through the buffet table first, followed by anyone celebrating a birthday of anniversary. If you are concerned about sharing the buffet, you are welcome to bring your own dinner.
