4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2024 | I wanted to inform you about a wonderful program directed to those experiencing behavioral health issues. Take My Handâ„¢ connects individuals to a live Certified Peer Support Specialist, a person with lived experience in recovery from a behavioral health condition and trained to interact with others mutually and without judgment. These specialists are skilled coaches that support a person's wellness by responding to questions, providing assistance and connecting them to resources. In addition, Take My Handâ„¢ allows the user to remain anonymous if they choose. They can be reached at: 2085 Rustin Ave. Riverside, CA 92507; (951) 955-7360; https://takemyhand.com/ This free service is available Monday-Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Friday 8 am to 4 pm (except holidays) Supervisor's Message By Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA It's July already! Home Maintenance: Our community is 20 years old! Management performs inspections on a regular basis, focusing on homes in need of maintenance, painting, landscaping replacement etc. Please take a look at the exterior of your home and if it needs painting, before you paint, please remember the ARC Standards; "Before commencing with any alteration, modification, painting, landscaping, etc., Residents must obtain written approval of the ARC. PLEASE GET APPROVAL FIRST! Any exterior work that is done without prior ARC approval may result in an owner being called to a hearing. Please contact The Lodge (during weekday business hours) and ask for Maria Donti if you plan on doing any exterior improvements, modifications or landscape changes. A five-minute call can save you a lot of grief. From the Public Service Dept: Last February we mailed out a File of Life Envelope to every home. A copy of the "California Advanced Care Directive" was included. This document of many pages may appear very intimidating. But it is the most important health care document you can complete, particularly if you live alone. It is a legal document that protects your right to refuse medical treatment you do not want, or to request treatment you do want, in the event you lose the ability to make decisions yourself. This can happen to anyone at any time. If you haven't, please look at and consider completing it. I feel that it's important to always send out a "friendly reminder about picking up after your pets!! Pet owners, please refrain from letting your dog urinate on your fellow neighbor's lawns. Residents work very hard to keep up their lawns and with summer here, the challenge increases with the heat. Urine kills the grass unless it is immediately diluted with water. The corner lots that have grass seem to be more of a target. If you bring a bottle of water with you, and your dog goes on someone's lawn, pour some water on the spot. At least it'll help dilute the urine. I also want to mention dogs going #2 and remind residents you are responsible for picking up after your dogs. Once they do their business, please bring the bag home with you, it's not very heavy. I have to lug around a doggie bag after my Great Bernese does her business and will be happy to trade with any of you. Please be a responsible pet owner. May you and your Family have a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July!
