We are in the dog days of summer. What better way to beat the heat than with a nice, chilled glass of Rosé wine? Taste d'Vine Wine Club is proud to present Rosé All Day in August. Rosé All Day is more about keeping the spirit of Rosé alive even when you're not drinking it. That means keeping it light, fun, and approachable 24/7. Don't be fooled into thinking that Rosé wines are just sweet. We will introduce you to four different styles of Rosé wines that I'm sure you'll appreciate. France is synonymous with Rosé wine. France is the largest producer, importer, and consumer of Rosé wine. If you're a white wine drinker, you'll appreciate the light crispness of the wine. If you're a red wine drinker, you'll appreciate the fact that Rosé is made from red wine grapes and some Rosé styles have a dryer, bolder taste. Rosé wines can certainly stand up to grilled meats, cheeses, and charcuterie boards. The annual Temecula bus trip has been finalized for Wednesdays, Oct. 16 and 23. We will be visiting Frangipani, Long Shadow, and Akash Wineries. A catered-box lunch will be served to us while we visit Long Shadow. The price is the same as last year at $110 for members and $130 for non-members. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 am. More information will be coming soon. ~ Gino Domico, gdomico@gmail.com 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2024 Our July meeting was greeted with warm weather. Fortunately, we had a great turnout before the temperature rose. Iced coffee and cold water were served. We did have some new car enthusiasts bring their beautiful cars. Frank Gorgei (top photo, right) made his long-waited appearance with his absolutely beautiful 1966 Ford Custom 500, flawless forest green paint, and beautiful black interior. It is powered by a 302 Stroker motor producing 416 ground pounding H.P. mated to a torque c-4 trans. Kurt Verhoff (middle photo, right) showed up with his one-week-old Carbon Black 2025 BMW X6 with white interior. This car is so high-tech that Kurt can drive it hands free. There were two car shows attended by several of our members. The first was at the Manzanita Village Sr. Living in Moreno Valley in June. Three members (bottom photo, right) won trophies. I won with my 1977 Corvette, Gilbert Morales won with his 1946 Chevy, Anthony (Babaloo) Zamora won with his 1956 Chevy. The Cherry Festival Car, Truck, and Motorcycle show was also in June. Dale Supernaw took first place in his category with his yellow 1952 Kaiser. Here at Four Seasons, there are some beautiful classic and modern cars, trucks, 4x4s, and motorcycles. You can view these fine machines at our Cars & Coffee meetings every first Saturday of the month at 9 am at The Lodge parking lot, or if you have a vehicle that you would like to show off, you are more than welcome to bring it by. For additional information, please contact Frank Morales at (951) 203-4578 or fmoralesjrinc@aol.com or Rick Morales at (951) 255-4710 or onemth53@yahoo.com. ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Taste d'Vine
