It seems like it got very hot so early this year. Our Back Niner chair, Lori Dalfonso, hosted a Meet and Greet to give some new residents who are interested in playing golf the chance to learn about our club and what we do. Fourteen prospective golfers came in addition to our regular membership. We enjoyed delicious refreshments and the opportunity to get to know one another. Our July luncheon was very nice. The second quarter ringer money was awarded, and Debbie Johnson was Ace of the Month for June for low handicaps, and Pat Bailey for the High Handicaps. Congratulations to all the winners. Beginning in August, our club will welcome one new member, and there are two other prospective members who are thinking about joining. We have a great club with enjoyable tournaments each week for both the 18 hole and back nine. Our monthly lunch meetings are informative, fun and sociable. We hope you will consider joining us. To do so, contact Peggy Clendenen at 951-696-2169. We hope to see you on the links! We hope everyone enjoyed the Bocce Brunch put on by Vanessa Rogers and Randy McKee, and Dave Matteucci was our bartender. Lots of good food and fun and some good bocce games also. Our games are fun and enjoyed by all ages, so age is NO excuse! You don't have to play to enjoy Bocce, we have tables and chairs and umbrellas and usually a breeze to keep us cool. Everyone is invited to come play or just come watch and socialize. Feel free to bring a snack and a beverage of your choice or just yourself. We always have water and ice available. PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE: It's now 5 to 7 pm. Bocce By Jeanne Bender, 949-295-5412
