You may take alcohol to the North Clubhouse pool as it is outside of our liquor license footprint. It is ONLY the Main Clubhouse pool that is inside the footprint. No outside alcohol is allowed at the Main Clubhouse pool. Sorry for the confusion and kudos to all of you who caught this. The Board and management are beginning to work on the budget for 2025. During July, management has been gathering information and budget requests from the department leaders. The first draft will be presented to the Board for review in the middle of this month. In September, a workshop will be presented that is open to all members (homeowners) to attend and listen to the discussion among the Board, management, and Finance Committee. The final budget will be approved at the October Board Open Session. The Board has approved additional security in the RV lot including a camera system on the east wall that links into the camera system at the main gate and higher fencing on the northwest side. Management began getting quotes for this in July and both security measures will be completed this month. While this is certainly an improvement, we continue to look into further options for security. In October, California passed a law, SB 478, that prohibited any extra fees being added to a restaurant bill. This meant we had to remove the service fee charged by Food & Beverage. At the end of June, the California Assembly unanimously approved Senate Bill 1534 which exempts any "restaurant, bar, food concession, grocery store, or grocery delivery service" from this law. That exemption allows us to reinstate the gratuity to the F&B tickets. This will come to the Board at Open Session in July for approval. Lounge Expansion Update: The dry walling was completed in July and the exterior doors installed. This month, the lighting will be completed, A/V equipment installed, and bar equipment should arrive for installation. Furniture should be arriving in September. The final touches such as paint, f looring, etc. are scheduled for September. Everything is right on track for the opening in the beginning of October. And still under budget! The Board is working on next year's budget and is reviewing ideas to cut costs and increase revenue. This year, we are reaching out to the Advisory Committees for their input.
