July was a quiet month for this group of
gardeners. Staying cool and simply watering
our wilting plants was enough. These photos are
from our June excursion to Grand Traditions in
Fallbrook. Walking through the well-manicured,
meticulous gardens is always a pleasant respite
for our group. Lunch at the Veranda, adjacent to
the Beverly Mansion, never disappoints and a quick stop at the Mad
Potter on the way home gave some that "have to have" pot!
Our meeting in August, scheduled for Mon., Aug. 12, will be an
excursion to Balboa Park in San Diego in lieu of a regular meeting in
the Arts & Crafts Room. Anyone interested in tagging along, who's
not on our Club email list, please respond to the email address below
and we will get in touch with you. Given traffic and
the distance, this will be an all day trip which we
organize carpools for. We plan to investigate several
gardens within the park and enjoy lunch at Historic
Bazaar del Mundo.
All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend
meetings and trips. Sharing gardening tips, traveling
together, learning from each other, and cultivating forever friendships
are the blooms growing in our gardens. Late Bloomers meets every
second Monday of the month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room,
unless we meet off-site for unique excursions.
