Needle Me
Have you ever wondered what we do besides sit and knit or crochet?
Well, there's much that needs to happen before we start working on
a project. First we need to decide what kind of project we want to
make, then we need to find a pattern and look for yarn.
If we are lucky, we'll find someone who's also interested in spending
some time knitting or crocheting and sharing ideas. This is where
groups like Needle Me come in to play.
Some of the ladies in our group also belong to a local Knitting
Guild and recently participated in a World Wide Knitting in Public
event. Pictured above left are Merilyn Burnside, Lilian Togo, Helen
Taylor and some other members of the guild knitting and socializing
at a local Starbucks.
Also pictured are Jane Lopez, Lynda Harlow, Carol Barber, Lilian
Togo, and Merilyn Burnside during one of our Needle Me meetings.
We meet on the first and fourth Fridays of the month from 1 to 3 pm
in the Arts & Crafts Room. So please feel free to stop by or contact
Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or Merilyn Burnside at (323) 889-
4281.
For those who are interested, there is a Yarn Crawl in San Diego
for four days, Sept. 26-29, 2024. Then there is a Southern California
Fiber Fair at the Pomona Fairgrounds, Nov. 23 – 24, 2024.
