THE CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: THE NEW CREATIVITY GROUP Thank you for participating in The Creative Spotlight of the Hemet Herald and/or the 4seasonscreativegroup.com website throughout the years! The former Arts and Crafts Club became inactive several years ago, pre-pandemic. We have decided to revitalize the club under the name of The Creativity Group and will have our first meeting at 10 am on Mon., Sept. 23 in the Arts & Crafts Room in The Lodge. Please SAVE THE DATE! The current officers are Lucia K Wolfer, Chair and Vicki Allen-Hitt, Co-chair. Royce Jerman is in charge of the Arts & Crafts Shows. The next show is happening on Sat., Nov. 2. The group will first meet on Sept. 23 and then on Oct. 28 but will NOT be meeting during the months of November and December because of the holidays. The group will be in full swing starting Mon., Jan. 27, 2025, 10 am. This includes plans for monthly demos, inspirations, announcements of future workshops, documentaries about artists, and classes, etc. We hope to see you there! The first meeting is very important and will give you a chance to meet other creatives of the community. It will include a discussion about the direction you want this group to go. We would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. The discussion will be followed by a demo presented by Vicki on alcohol inks. The Creativity Group is not only for fine arts and crafts creators but also for jewelry, digital art, photography, fiber arts, and authors. ANY CREATIVE PERSON in the community (ie, musicians, actors, model builders etc.) IS WELCOME! We hope to see you on Mon., Sept. 23 at 10 am! No experience is necessary and all levels are welcome. Her contact information is royce742@gmail.com. Paint and Sip Night: Please come join me on Mon., Aug. 19 at 5 pm for our "Paint and Sip" class. I envision this being a relaxing, fun night where you will complete an acrylic painting, and I will guide you through the process. The class fee is $35, which includes all supplies - you just bring your wine (or beverage of choice) and an open mind.
