| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2024 | 27 What could go wrong when two strong women share a small room in a nursing home? We found out in Ripcord, our June play, directed by Chuck Sims, assisted by Victoria Danner. Cantankerous Abby (Betty Crase) is forced to share her sunny room on an upper floor with a new arrival, infuriatingly chipper Marilyn (Sandy Tiffin). Abby wanted Marilyn to move out; Marilyn wanted to stay, but in the bed Abby occupied by the window. A sold-out audience watched as Abby and Marilyn engaged in hilarious one-upmanship as they bet on who would be first to get angry and the other mad. It was unclear until the very end who would win the bet, remain in the room, and get the bed. Hank Alberts (Zombie Butler), Robin Fournier (Colleen), Jim Crase (Scotty), Dick English (Derek), Ester Feigenbaum (Woman in White), Candace & Quinn Hawley and Chuck Sims (Evil Clowns), and Tim Polder (Lewis and Benjamin), aided and abetted Abby's and Marilyn's bet, including "jumping out of a plane." It takes a lot of hands, hearts and talent to put on such a complicated play, done professionally by Ross Brunetto, Bob Walker, and Zalmai Roashan (Sound/Technology), Zalmai and Fran Walker (Lighting), Kristine Chilcote (Stage Setting), Jan Fifield, Rudy Rich, Sandy Tiffin (Artistry & Props), Victoria Danner (Promotional Material), Paul Lavigne (Videography/Photography), and amazing residents who assembled the stage. We would like to thank our Greeters (Jeanne Lincoln, Janice Record) and our Hostess Team (Debra Stafford, Debra Katnich, Karen Tuvim, Cathy Brunetto, Fran Walker) for serving refreshments at Intermission. The audience greatly enjoyed the musical talents of the Jazz@Four band! (Roberta Feigenbaum, Larry Foster, Jim Robo, David Tuvim) before the play and at intermission. The Greeters, Hostesses and Musicians are the icing on our cake. 4SP' next performance will be on Oct. 19; doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 6:30 pm. You may want to pencil in this date and get your tickets when they first go on sale, as this show will likely sell out very quickly. Watch for future announcements of a casting call for this show. REMEMBER: We are always looking for new members or even just curious guests to stop in at our meetings. Club meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Your interest and inquiries are always welcome – please call Victoria at (951) 473-3235. Four Seasons Players
