Did you know that the Safety Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Master Board regarding safety questions or needs throughout the community? For example, if you want to suggest that a speed bump be put on your street, that request should be put in a letter and mailed or emailed to this committee. If you have a concern about a blind corner or foliage that's blocking a clear view of a stop sign or intersection, that concern should be directed to this committee. If you think another stop sign needs to be placed or other signage enhanced for safety, please send that suggestion to the committee. You can send your concerns to Mark Schleiden, the Director of Operations with FirstService or directly to the chairperson of the Safety Committee, Mike Volz at vmv1950@aol.com. Did you know that being included in the Sun Lakes Country Club phone book is not automatic? If you would like to be included, you must complete the form which you will find on page 84 in the 2024 phone book. Not only is this for new residents who wish to be added but also for any currently listed residents who have had changes to their listing. This form is due no later than Oct. 21 for the 2025 phone book and there are several ways that it can be submitted. You may drop it off in the Administration Office, mail it to the address on the form, email it to the email address on the form, or even call and leave your information. Did You Know that Message to Management goes directly to Jason Ewals, the Assistant General Manager? He personally answers all these messages and/or refers them to the person/department who can best address it. Many have commented that they never receive a response. In the past, some of these messages have gone to spam and that is a function of the email platform that is being used. For example, the older platform of @hotmail.com often gets relegated to spam. So, if you send a Massage to Management and do not receive a response within two days, please send an email including the original Message to Management comment directly to Jason at jason.ewals@fsresidential.com so he can follow up with you. This truly is the best place to express a concern, air a complaint or ask a question about anything within Sun Lakes, so don't give up on it. Also, be sure to check your own spam folder to verify that the response you're waiting for is not going there.
