| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2024 | 63 Women's Golf The Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club is an 18-hole club that plays every Thursday on the Championship Course. Our membership includes golfers of all ages and abilities who share the love of golf and love to have fun. We play easy games, interesting tournaments, and specific competitions. On the third Thursday of every month we have a luncheon and general meeting in the Ballroom. We invite you to join us and become part of the only 18-hole Women's Club within Sun Lakes. Ladies Executive Golf The Executive Men's Golf Club hosted a tournament and lunch with LEGS and we wish to thank them for their hospitality. The tournament was a lot of fun and we thoroughly enjoyed their company. Some of our members were fortunate in winning Scramble and Circle Hole prizes. The tournament Circle Hole winners were: Candi Christopher, Bea Mercado, and Soni Jackson. Not only did Soni win the Circle Hole, she also won a $100 cash prize which was donated by Sharon & David Kealy for anyone making a hole-in-one on Hole #11. Thanks to the Kealys for their generosity. Great job Soni and congratulations to the rest of the winners. We look forward to playing in their tournament again next year. Our members look forward to our monthly putting contest and last month's result was a tie between Sue Merrill and Valerie Villareal. Good putting ladies! We had two tournaments planned for August - "Throw Mama from the Train" and our "Hot August Tees." We hope you didn't miss either of them. We invite you to come out and play a round of golf with our fun- loving ladies.
