Sun Lakes Travelers Club members braved the excessive heat
we've been experiencing this summer and welcomed new resident
Professor Chris Stanley to our August meeting as featured guest
speaker. Professor Stanley spoke in fascinating detail on the tips and
techniques needed to get the most out of the airline miles and hotel
points that you accumulate on your credit cards. He provided a cheat
sheet of important online sites and gave examples showing how to
travel almost for free. There was a lively Q&A after his presentation.
Our September meeting will feature three speakers: Lori Alma,
Senior Travel Advisor in the Redlands Auto Club travel department,
as well as representatives from Viking River Cruises and the Rocky
Mountaineer Train Company. Lori will be presenting on all the
ways AAA can help members and non-members with their travel
planning, so bring your questions and concerns.
Even if you don't or can't actively travel anymore, you can still
explore the world from the comfort of your own home. For armchair

The Sun Lakes Travelers Club invites interested travelers to join us
from 10 am to 12 noon every second Saturday of each month to listen
to guest speakers from the travel industry, share information with
other Sun Lakes travelers and socialize in a friendly, informal setting.
Annual dues are $15. We meet in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose
Room and you may attend one meeting as a guest to check us out.
