We have no membership fees or dues, and our meetings are once a month and very short. We begin at 9 am on the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot of the Main Clubhouse. We display our cars and talk shop, and at 9:30 we meet in the Multipurpose Room for a very short meeting. We announce car shows, discuss upcoming activities and events, and then go out together for breakfast. Men and women, husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, we welcome you all. We're all about fun and good fellowship, and we're looking for new members to share our good vibe. You don't even need to own a classic car. Come join us and expand your social life! Cruzin' Cronies Sun Lakes Follies My goodness, how time flies. Here it is almost fall. What a hot summer we had! I hope everyone had lovely vacations and are settling down for the autumn time of the year. Our Follies Show is only a month away. The dates are Fri., Oct. 4, Sat., Oct. 5, and a matinee on Sun., Oct. 6. Tickets will be on sale starting Sat., Sept. 14. This is our 25th Anniversary Show. I'd like to think that some of you have seen every one. We have so much talent here in Sun Lakes and with new residents moving in all the time, I hope we will get more every year. Our theme this year is "YOUR SHOW OF SHOWS!" It's reminiscent of the 1950s TV show. Lots of singing, dancing, comedy acts, etc. Remember, tickets go on sale starting Sat., Sept. 14, for three weeks, in the Lobby of the Main Clubhouse. Tickets are only $15. It is dinner theater seating with eight to a table. Be sure to get your tickets early for best seating choices. After seeing our show, and you think it is something you would be interested in being a part of, we will be having our General Meeting starting again in January. Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes will hold its first rehearsal for the holiday season on Mon., Sept. 9. Registration will begin at 8:30 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room, followed by our rehearsal from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Our 36th Annual Holiday Concerts will be held on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7 at 7 pm, and Sun., Dec. 8 at 3 pm. The Chorale is open to membership for any Sun Lakes resident. The Chorale has five sections: Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, Basses, and Baritones. Practice sessions are held on Mondays from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm.
