TREASURER'S REPORT: JUNE 2024 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The Association had a net surplus (income exceeded expenses)
in June of $93,171 and a year-to-date surplus of $104,853 (see table
below).
At the end of June, the balance in the Operating Fund checking
account was $556,674. On that same date the Association had
outstanding bills of $1,398,457. If accounts receivable (primarily
amounts due from members house accounts) and cash are combined
cash and receivables exceed outstanding bills by $41,996 (see
the graphic below). Outstanding bills at the end of June included
$665,411 owed to FirstService Residential.
The Restaurant & Lounge had a loss in June of $14,529 which is
$16,455 less than the June budgeted loss. The reduction in the loss
in Restaurant & Lounge is expected because the Lounge is closed for
renovation and expected to reopen at the end of September. Year-
to-date the Restaurant & Lounge has exceeded its budgeted loss by
$213,142. Golf course operations, on the other hand, has performed
better than budget by $186,871 through the end of June.
On a sad note, our Director of Golf, Brian Garlington is leaving
Sun Lakes. We all miss Brian and wish him well in his future
endeavors.
