| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2024 | 23 Oh my, oh my, what a scorching month July was. It didn't stop this active club from enjoying a variety of activities in July. Maggie Coleman and Lynne Aries set up a movie day to see elma, a comedy about 93-year-old grandma who is scammed and goes into "Mission Impossible" mode to get back what's hers. Of course we had to have lunch, so prior to the movie, off to Chili's we went. Kristine Chilcott made arrangement to see the hilarious musical e 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling B. A musical comedy about six quirky adolescents who compete in a spelling bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups. An unusual aspect of the show was that four real audience members were invited on stage to compete in the spelling bee alongside the six young characters. Prior to going to the play, we decided California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. Julie Rodriguez decided it was too hot to go to the "You Pick" Lavender Farm as planned. The heat wasn't going away. That DIDN'T stop the ladies from getting together as we had planned. It was off to Rodrigo's for some good Mexican food and a lovely time laughing together, reminiscing and talking about cruises we've been on and exchanged the excitement about the cruises we have planned. At our July monthly meeting we changed it up a bit and had a "Purse and Accessory Exchange." Just to name a few items that were there: purses, wallets, tote bags, jewelry, hats, and even a table of misc. new stuff. Once everyone did their exchanges, Lynne Aries and Bonnie Hansen took the leftover treasures to the Assistance League. Gosh, now that I ref lect on July, we do truly enjoy being with our Lady Friends who live right here in the Four Seasons and even the heat can't keep us away from the friendships we have with each other. One quick note, last month I mentioned about an Open House that the Ladies Club was having, at this time it has been delayed. As we get closer to our membership drive we will inform all the Ladies of Four Seasons. Our next meeting is on Sept. 23, at 1:30 pm in the Ballroom. We would love to have you as a guest and bring a friend to see what we are planning for October. For more information, call or text Julie Rodriguez (951) 821-1970. Our Motto: Having fun, being positive, staying energized and giving back to the community. FS Ladies Club
