| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2024 | 33 Bid Whist PLUS Club The Bid Whist PLUS Social Club meet the first Friday of every month from 2 to 5:30 pm in the Game Room at the Lodge. We are a welcoming, diverse, and friendly social group who enjoy playing a variety of card/board games, great food, and good times. We also have been involved in sharing our love for music by organizing musical events throughout the year. For more information, call or text Donny Brown at (619) 395-7494 or Maurice Bernard Brown at (619) 750-5839. WIT (Women In Touch) The WIT ladies share a common bond – the loss of the love of their life. Our dinner meeting provides a special social interaction and helps to rekindle old and new friendships. The WIT Team gathers once a month in the Bistro for dinner. Our dinner orders are "called in" to the Bistro between 2 to 4 pm. When we gather at 5 pm, our orders are already being prepared and are ready to deliver to each attendee. We are a support group. Please accept our invitation to join us if you are a widow in need of a social connection and loving care. If you have any questions regarding WIT, please contact Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Jeanne Lincoln at (951) 765-7112. Save the Date! The next Club's golf cart parade theme will be Halloween. It will be held on Sun., Oct. 27, four days before Halloween! Refreshments and goodies will be provided during the costume review/social hour (6 pm in the roundabout in front of the Lodge). The Parade will start at 6:30 pm and last about 40-45 minutes. Join us; it's always a lot of fun! Flag Angels: On a sad note, an Angel, Addis, "Scotty," Scott has passed away. Cookie and Scotty covered the Invitational #3 Route, South of Hole #10 and South of Hole #11. He was a special guy who I knew through the Golf Club. Cookie and Addis were always two people that you could count on in a pinch! Keep Cookie in your thoughts. In a massive understatement, he will be missed! The Flag Angels will be putting up flags for Labor Day, Sept. 2, throughout the entire community. Some 1,500 flags will be put up and taken down over the holiday. Some of the Angels will have the bumper sticker pictured below on their carts. If you know or recognize these Angels, give them a well-deserved "thank you" the next time you see them. If anyone is interested in being a substitute Angel (on the rare occasion when an Angel cannot post flags (sick, vacations, etc.), I could use a volunteer(s) or two. We have recently lost a few due to health reasons. If you would be willing to help, please call me (951) 973-4149, or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com. ~ Mike McLaughlin, Hemet 4 Seasons Golf Cart Club/Flag Angels Golf Cart Club
