| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2024 | 27 4SP Brings Life to An Author's Words ree Times Each Year Four Seasons Players (4SP) Brings Life to An Author's Words, offering three plays each year produced by your neighbors, many who have never done this before, until they did. Imagine how much fun this is? This is a busy time of our year, selecting three plays for 2025, and preparing for the performance of our third play of 2024, To Be Or Not To Be, on Oct. 19. Our plays often sell out, so take note of when tickets go on sale in October. Our Performance Selection Committee of four Club members began meeting in July to select the 2025 plays. This is an exciting and challenging process. The Committee considers a play's length, genre, cast size, and why it's a good fit for our Community. The Committee members read all the proposed plays, discuss them at length, build a consensus about the plays and decide on the plays to be presented. Anyone can complete a script for consideration to 4SP at any time – please inquire with our Lodge Desk for a "Script Submit Form." It takes numerous Club members and others to put on each performance. There are many opportunities to work alongside veterans of many productions to learn the ropes. In addition to the Actors, your friends and neighbors serve in the following interesting positions: Director, Assistant Director, Sound and Technology, Lighting, Stage Setting, Artistry and Props, Promotional Material, Videography/Photography, Stage Assembly, Greeters and Hostesses. Preparations for the next performance begin soon; we welcome Newbies of all interests – no experience required! 4SP is very excited to welcome our newest member, Alice Gilbert. Alice and David, her spouse of 50 years, relocated from San Diego to Four Seasons in 2021. They quickly became members of the Bid Whist Club while keeping an eye out for other fun opportunities. Alice and David are proud parents of children and grandchildren who are accomplished thespians. Like most parents/grandparents, they are active supporters of their family's journey, often driving to rehearsals and attendance at their many productions. Alice credits her time in and around the many theater productions, along with the gracious invitation from 4SP Club Members, for sparking her interest in the Club.
