Menifee's Permit-Ready ADU plans, which received an Excellence Award for Best Practices by the Inland Empire American Planning Association, are available to Menifee homeowners. There are eight different floor plan options, offering studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, with two architectural styles per floor (plan sizes from 306 to 1,200 square feet). Contact our Community Development Department at 951-672-6777. Menifee Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Do you want to help your community in an emergency? Menifee CERT is a network of dedicated community volunteers that have been Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) trained to respond in the event of a natural disaster or other type of emergency. Menifee CERT meets the second Tuesday of each month, from 6 to 7 pm in the Menifee City Hall Council Chambers (29844 Haun Road). All meetings are open to the public. All residents are encouraged to sign up for alerts. San Jacinto College's Menifee Campus (28237 La Piedra Road) for our upcoming Foodie Friday on Fri., Sept. 6 at 6 pm. This mouth-watering event, featuring over 50 food vendors, curated crafts, and entertainment, runs on the first Friday of every month through October. Foodie Fridays is presented by Made Local in "flavorship" with the City of Menifee and Mt. San Jacinto College. Pop-Up Paint Night Celebrate your inner artist at Menifee's Pop-Up Paint Night on Fri., Sept. 20, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center (29995 Evans Road). Create a masterpiece with your family and friends! No talent or experience is necessary as instructors will guide you step-by-step. Registration is required, and space is limited. The event is for ages eight and up and costs $10 per resident and $12 for non-residents. For more information, please email culturalarts@cityofmenifee.us. FREE Bulky Item Drop-Off The City of Menifee will be hosting a FREE bulky item drop-off event at Heritage High School (26001 Briggs Road) on Sat., Sept. 21, from 8 am to 12 pm (or until bins are full). Please bring a photo I.D. or proof of residency to utilize this service. This is a great way to help keep Menifee clean and remove unwanted clutter. This event is just one of our four bulky item events per year! • Acceptable Bulky Items: Furniture, mattresses (three per vehicle), appliances, electronic waste, refrigerators, bagged green waste, used tires, and air conditioners • Unacceptable Bulky Items: Batteries, construction waste, hazardous waste, sharps, and latex or oil paint If you can't make it to this drop-off event, remember Menifee Waste Management customers are entitled to four FREE bulky item pick-ups annually.
