Veterans taking it easy at a recent Cars & Coffee. umbs up from these gear heads. August's gathering Welcome to "Sourdough September." September celebrates the world's oldest leavened bread, giving everyone a chance to enjoy this delicious delight the entire month. This month provides an opportunity for wine club members to share their favorite sourdough breads, along with fine cheeses and meats. Of course, a bottle of your favorite wine to share is always a plus. Our September meeting brings you one of our favorite presenters, Heidi Daniels. She has extensive knowledge of wine. She's educated in different regions, aging potentials, specific f lavor profiles, and various styles. Her knowledge is extensive regarding the wine industry. She will be presenting a series of quality, price conscious wines. We're looking forward to having her. The slate of officers for the new Taste d'Vine Wine Club has been established. They are Tom DePaulo, President; Mike McQueen, Vice President; Rori Snyder, Secretary; and Teri DiMarino, Treasurer. The slate will be formally presented to the members at the September general meeting and voted on in October. ~ Gino Domico, gdomico@ gmail.com 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2024 Our August Cars & Coffee gathering was great; more than 20 owners and their great-looking rides showed up. It was a little warm, but the iced coffee, donuts and cold water were refreshing. The last car show in the area is Saturday, Oct. 5 at Solera Oak Valley in Beaumont. It's their very first car show. Our Cars & Coffee Club and 4x4 Seasons Club have been invited to participate. This is a free event. A completed registration form is required to have access at the main gate. If you would like to participate, please let me know either by email, text, or phone and I will get a form to you. So far we have more than 15 car owners who are going. The 4x4 club is also going to join us. Important: Oct. 5 is the same day as our October meeting, so there will not be a meeting at The Lodge parking lot that morning. For those of you who are attending the Solera Car Show, we will be meeting at The Lodge parking lot at 7 am and departing via caravan at 7:30 am to Solera. If you wish to meet us there, the address is 1615 Fairway Drive, Beaumont (only a 10-minute drive from Four Seasons). The Four Seasons Veterans Day Car Show is Saturday, Nov. 9. More information will be announced at a later date. Our next Cars & Coffee meeting will be Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Please come by and enjoy some hot/iced coffee, donuts, and some great conversation with other car guys and gals.
