FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2024 57 By now we are all enjoying our beautiful new resurfaced courts. The heat has been extreme and so have our paddle tennis players, playing hot and intense games. We welcomed our newest player, Liliana Simanton. Also, Augie and Laura Ramirez are back to have some fun with this fantastic group. To celebrate our new courts, we had a huge play day followed by pizza and Lindy's Italian ice. Thank you, Steve, for the pizzas! During the heat, we are playing at 6:30 pm. Come on down and join us. ~ Lizzie Gallegos, ecgallegos@outlook.com Paddle Tennis Bocce Ball is played on Tuesday and Friday at 8 am at The Summit. This starting time is our summer schedule. We try to finish play before it gets too hot usually around 9:30 am. Our Bocce Group has changed over the last few months with a lot of new people starting to play along with the regular players. We continue to have some fun getting together enjoying the game of Bocce Ball. If you are interested in learning the game you are more than welcome. So please join us. Any questions, please call or text me at (840) 234-6494 or email me at hanknegrete16@ yahoo.com. ~ Hank Negrete Bocce Ball On behalf of the members of the Four Seasons Table Tennis Club, we are proud to announce that our time-worn Kettler ping pong tables have been replaced by brand new Donic Waldner tables (see photo at right) that are currently set up at The Courts. Donic tables are manufactured in Germany, and are tournament- approved by the International Table Tennis Association. We are truly honored to be able to play on this high level of equipment and would like to give a big shout-out to Cindy, Luke, Shannon, and our HOA Board members who supported this addition to our club. Now that we are playing on professional equipment, we are considering carving out some time during the week for singles play only. Singles table tennis will provide some much-needed practice for those who enjoy representing Four Seasons in outside tournaments such as the Oldlympics, and perhaps bring home some medals to the community. The Spin 'n Slam Table Tennis Club was formed to attract those players who are serious about the sport of ping pong, and are familiar with rules of the game and the proper service techniques. We meet on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays beginning at 10:30 am. See you at the tables. ~ Bob Rubenstein, brube88@gmail.com Spin 'n Slam Table Tennis Club
