FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2024 5 Message from the Board The State of the City for Beaumont is being planned for Sept. 19 at 5 pm at the Morongo Ballroom. The tickets are $100 per person and will include dinner with Mayor Fenn as the Keynote Speaker. The City Manager has planned a State of the City at Four Seasons on Oct. 21 at 5 pm in the Ballroom. Mayor Fenn will be the Keynote Speaker and City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs will have representatives of various departments including the police during the night's festivities. Put the date, time and location on your calendars so you won't miss this valuable and informative presentation by the Mayor of Beaumont. This presentation is free to attend. Last month's Breeze article had information on the new Bistro vendors, Juan and Paulina Palacios. The Bistro has reopened with a new menu, lower prices, and new staff eager to serve our residents. I have eaten there several times with friends and family and found the service very good and the food exceptional. Give the Bistro a try when you go out to dinner. I am sure you will be happy you did. The road repairs to be completed by NPG will begin shortly. They have been working on the approximate three-month schedule to be followed during the repairs of our approximately 20 miles of roads. NPG will notify our residents of locations, dates, and times of road closures as soon as possible before the roads are blocked off so we can prepare for how we can come and go from our homes. Management will work closely with NPG on the repair process to minimize inconvenience as much as possible. Flyers will be distributed to alert residents of the repairs as they impact our particular neighborhoods. Also look for information on the Daily Report on locations closed for construction. Thank you for your patience on this long-awaited and very necessary project. The repairs to the upper half of our C Trail have been approved and are scheduled to begin soon. The repairs of the ruts caused by rainfall and irrigation have made it difficult to walk on and enjoy the trail. Park West will begin these repairs which should correct the current problems and hopefully minimize the erosion of the decomposed granite. Additionally, the Landscape Committee will be checking out the lower half of C Trail which begins at Four Seasons Circle continuing downward toward B Trail. Any erosion and ruts will be identified and plans for repair will be submitted for the necessary committee and Board of Directors review. As reported last month, our solar project is delayed because of contract issues. We are in the process of working through these issues and as soon as they are resolved, we will update the community. It is safe to say that the solar project will not be starting in the near future. New carpeting has been installed in the Billiards Room, Bistro, Card Room, and Library. The Ballroom and the RCN Building will be done later this month. The carpet replacement gives a fresh look to our facilities and was paid for out of Reserve Funds. All 26 toilets in all our restrooms and two ping pong tables were purchased and installed, also paid out of Reserve Funds. The renovations were planned, and it gives our Four Seasons community the look of the premier community that attracted us to buy and enjoy life here. The Board meets the second Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. "Meet with the Board" is a more informal setting on the third Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Ballroom. This forum allows Board members to engage in conversation with residents on almost any subject except confidential issues under litigation or discussed in Executive Session of the Board. Several Board members are in attendance each month. If you have any questions, please contact me at (951) 212-8898 or email jmonahan.fsb@gmail.com. By Jerry Monahan, Board President
