22 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2024 Recognition Committee Greetings from the Recognition Committee! In late August, the former Ad Hoc Committee was officially ratified as an official committee. As we eagerly work towards celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Four Seasons Beaumont, we are excited to inform you that starting in January 2025, we will roll out a series of monthly activities and engaging articles in our Breeze magazine, highlighting historical events and sharing captivating stories. Keep an eye out for regular updates in the Breeze and Daily Report. Our first event is scheduled for January 2025, and we can't wait to have you join us. ~ Regina Farmer Mark your calendars for our third annual "Yappy Hour" social in The Lodge Game Room on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 6 pm. Please join us. There will be wine and snacks for you to enjoy. Bring extra cash to purchase raff le tickets for the wonderful baskets for your dog and some for people too. No dogs allowed as this is a people-only event. Members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and applications for membership will be available. The first year is only $40 per dog and $30 each year thereafter. The Corral is open daily from 7 am to dusk for you and your pet to enjoy. Always check the Canine Corral website for updates on play times and for any open/ closure times due to inclement weather. Speaking of raff le baskets, if anyone has baskets they want to get rid of, please contact either Barbara Morton at (559) 269- 0908 or Martha Franck at (714) 345-8588 and we will gladly take them off your hands. Deadline is Oct. 28 as that will give us time to get our creative juices going and make the raff le baskets for our Yappy Hour event. Did you know that the Canine Corral has specific rules for members to follow? They are included in the application form and are for the protection of all who use the Corral. A few are listed below. • Be sure that all gates are closed as you enter and leave the Corral. There have been incidents where the fob gate (entrance into the Corral) has been left wide open. • Resident owner must remain within the fenced area and monitor their dog. • All dogs must remain on a leash until they are inside of, and before they leave, the pre-entry area. • No digging. If your dog digs, you must interrupt and fill the hole. • Maximum of one dog per resident is allowed in the Canine Corral at any one time. If you are interested, we are always looking for members of the Canine Corral Steering Committee. We meet the first Thursday of the month in the RCN Conference Room at 10 am. ~ Barbara Morton, barb93720@ yahoo.com Canine Corral Landscape Committee As you stroll through our beautiful Four Seasons community, you may have seen a Green Leaf symbol painted on some homeowner's front curbs in the Front Yard Cost Center (FYCC), Phases A & B, and wondered what that symbol means. All FYCC homeowners have the option of converting to a Green Leaf property, which provides the homeowner with the freedom to update and/or modify the front planter area to their own specific preferences. Should the homeowner choose to become a Green Leaf property, they assume all responsibility for their front planter area, which includes maintenance of all the plants, including fertilizing, spraying and weeding. After approval is given, a Green Leaf symbol will be painted on the homeowner's front curb. The homeowner understands and agrees that the HOA is no longer responsible for the maintenance of their landscaping except for lawn care, irrigation systems, and tree maintenance. A Green Leaf conversion will not impact the homeowner's regular monthly fees due to the HOA's continuous maintenance of the trees, lawn, and irrigation systems. Prior to any exterior modifications, work must be approved by the Four Seasons Architectural Review Committee (ARC) prior to the start of any work (ARC Guidelines J.4.A-C). Should the homeowner prefer to revert back to HOA maintenance, an HOA approved plant palette must be used. Additionally, the planter area must be returned to an acceptable condition for the HOA Landscaper to maintain. These changes will be at the expense of the homeowner (ARC Guidelines J.5). Any questions regarding a Green Leaf conversion, please contact Shannon in the Management Office at (951) 769-6358 or send an email to shannon.alfaro@fsresidential.com. Thank you to Shannon for providing background information about this topic. ~ Katee Morris, kateem1948@yahoo.com Pickles enjoying the Canine Corral. Picture courtesy of Tanya Stewart.
