The fall season has arrived and Ghosts and Goblins are starting to appear throughout our neighborhoods. This month's wine selections will also follow in that theme. You might be served a Witch's Brew White wine or a Screaming Dead Syrah. I'm sure the wine will meet with your approval. Taste d'Vine Wine Club by-laws state that the elected officers are voted in by membership every other year. The elected positions are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The nominating committee has selected the following for consideration by our membership for those positions. Tom DePaola, President; Mike MacQueen, Vice President; Rorie Snyder, Secretary; and Teri DiMarino, Treasurer. The vote will take place at our October meeting. ~ Gino Domico, gdomico@gmail.com Christmas Songs at a Hanukkah Party? at's right! Don't miss Four Seasons' Annual Hanukkah (and Christmas) Extravaganza! Did you know that some of the world's most beloved Christmas songs were written by Jewish composers? That's true! You will be surprised at all of the Christmas songs that were written by Jewish composers, and the background behind them. That's why this year's Hanukkah party will feature a Christmas and Hanukkah song sing along. You can call it a group karaoke! The words will be on the big screen so we can all join in. Your host Perry Goldstein will also be debuting new comedy holiday song parodies. You know when Perry is on the mic, there are plenty of laughs. Join us on Dec. 22 at 5 pm in The Lodge Ballroom when we will be celebrating the holiday season. We will also have a free dessert reception. Let's all get together this year and celebrate each other's holidays, as a community. After all, we are better together. Tickets are free, and available at The Lodge front desk, starting Dec. 10. Last year's Hanukkah was a sell out, so reserve your place early. ~ Perry Goldstein, perry.goldstein@gmail.com 36 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2024 Our September Cars & Coffee gathering was great; many owners showed up with their great-looking rides. It was a little warm but the cloud cover made it tolerable and the ice coffee, donuts, and cold water were refreshing. Jim Roderick came with his beautiful 2008 red convertible Corvette, powered by an LS3 and a rare six-speed transmission. Jim has owned his Vette for two weeks. Richard Stolarz arrived with his bright yellow 2002 Nissan Frontier pick-up truck, powered by a rare, super-charged V6 with a five-speed manual transmission. Richard has owned his Nissan for 19 years. On Saturday, Oct. 5, Solera Oak Valley in Beaumont is having their very first car show. Our Cars & Coffee Club and the Four Seasons 4x4 Club have been invited to participate. This is a free event. A completed registration form is required to enter at the main gate. If you would like to participate, please let me know either by email, text, or phone and I will get a form to you. So far we have 15 car owners who are going. Important: Oct. 5 is the same day as our October meeting, so there will not be a Cars & Coffee meeting at The Lodge parking lot that Saturday morning. For those who are attending the Solera Car Show, we will meet in The Lodge parking lot at 7 am and depart via caravan at 7:30 am to Solera. If you wish to meet us there, the address is 1615 Fairway Drive, Beaumont, 92223. It's only a 10-minute drive from Four Seasons. The Four Seasons Veterans Car, Truck, and 4x4 Show is set for Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 am to 2 pm in The Lodge parking lot. Vehicle staging begins at 8 am. There is a $25 registration fee for all vehicles. This includes one custom designed t-shirt and a goody bag. There will be five vehicle classes judged with first, second, and third place awards. Registration forms are available at The Lodge, and must be turned in by Oct. 30. For additional information please contact Frank or Rick. Our next Cars & Coffee is Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Please come by and enjoy some hot/iced coffee, donuts, and some great conversation with other car guys and gals. For additional information, please contact Frank Morales at (951) 203-4578 or fmoralesjrinc@aol.com or Rick Morales at (951) 255- 4710 or onemth53@yahoo.com. ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Taste d'Vine Jewish Culture Club Jim Roderick's 2008 Corvette Richard Stolarz and his 2002 Frontier truck Leroy Wright's beautiful 1946 Ford coupe
