FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2024 55
Fishing Club
Last month was very interesting as far as
fishing was concerned. I fished at Diamond
Valley Lake with my grandson Mason. He
was visiting me for a week from Idaho. He
caught his first fish and I felt obligated to
put his picture in the Breeze. I also took
him to fisherman's retreat and he caught his
first catfish. He actually caught two catfish,
but I let one fall out of my hand and it fell
back into the lake. He is 16 years old and
had never been fishing. Hopefully he will go
fishing more often when he gets home and
starts driving.
I thought that as I took the grandson
fishing I should also take his father fishing.
I took my son, RC, to Lake Cahilla located
in the Coachella Valley. The county planted
900 pounds of catfish and I thought we
could go and catch a few. What I didn't
know was that there would be more than
1,000 fishermen fishing right beside us. We
were shoulder-to-shoulder trying to catch
catfish out of that lake. RC caught two fish
and I went home with no fish.
The pictures of RC and Mason are below.
As I have said before in other articles,
fishing with family is special.
