FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2024 59 Hopefully as you read this article, the dog days of summer are over. Hello fall weather! The BFFG group continues to grow and we welcome everyone. We want to thank Brad Hodge who has helped us keep the group running while Paul and I are recuperating from his third knee surgery … third times a charm. We appreciate everyone who has helped out, Dave Martin, Dave Thomason, Verina Hartman/Rector. We look forward to getting back to the Billiards Room and being with our BFFG friends. The Billiards For Fun Group meets on Tuesdays. The first session is from 11 am to 1 pm. The second session is from 1 to 3 pm. You can participate in both sessions. For more information, please contact Paul Snyder at (909) 214-9464 or Donna Snyder at (909) 435-6589. ~ Donna Snyder Billiards for Fun Group August was a busy month for us. The first Monday in August we were in Hemet at Solera and their team was victorious. We made up for it on the second Monday at Solera in Beaumont where we were victorious and brought home our club trophy. Hemet Solera returned to our Billiards Room on the third Monday, winning the first match and tying with us on the second match. In-house tournaments for our 8-Ball Club members resumed on Aug. 21 officiated by Calvin Cummings, the 8-Ball Club's new Co-Captain. Players in this double-elimination 8-ball tournament included Doug, Augie, Dave, Kirk, Scott, and Rick. Rick ended up winning the tournament in the final championship match with Scott. Congratulations Rick! The 8-Ball Club presents pool lovers with lots of opportunities for practice and tournaments. The 8-Ball Club practices or plays tournaments Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6:30 to 9 pm. The monthly 8-Ball Club business meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month. In-house tournaments include an 8-Ball tournament on the second Wednesday of the month and a 9-Ball tournament on the fourth Wednesday of the month. The Club also competes in team events with Solera Oak Valley and Solera Diamond Valley (see addresses below) on the first, second, third, and fourth Mondays of each month: two here and two away. Solera Oak Valley, 1615 Fairway Drive, Beaumont, CA 92223 Solera Diamond Valley, 1645 Paseo Diamante, Hemet, CA 92545 If you're new to the game or have played it before, don't be shy, stop by, pick up a stick, and give us a try. For more information about the club, talk with Del, Calvin, or any of the members who are playing when you come to the Billiards Room. The 8-Ball Club is looking for new members to join us whether they are seasoned players or are those who would like to learn to play. There is a calendar of all our events each month plus sign-up sheets in the Billiards Room on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board.
