FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2024 9 I'm looking forward to fall weather and the idea of warm sweaters and hot tea, but we might be a little ways away from those cozy imaginings. In the meantime, let's take what we have and party on the Loggia with the HOA and AACC's "Jazz Under the Stars," showcasing Patrice Morris from the famous Fifth Dimension. This is going to be a total blast with table seating and free admission and it will all happen on Saturday, Oct. 5. Doors open at 5 pm and the show starts at 6 pm. Come on down and enjoy one of the last outdoor concerts we'll be having this year. The HOA Garage Sale is also on Oct. 5 from 8 am to 2 pm. If you did not get your application for your city permit to The Lodge, you can still participate in the community sale; you will have to go to the city yourself however and get your own permit. Unfortunately, you won't be on the Garage Sale map, but most likely folks will be able to find you anyway. Do note that if you are tempted to just "piggy-back" on your neighbor's garage sale without a permit, the code enforcement folks are famous for "fundraising" on those days, randomly asking to see your permit. We will call each resident who paid for their permits at the front desk, reminding them to pick them up before the sale. For those of you who are planning on treasure hunting, be sure to eat your Wheaties that morning for the stamina you'll need to go through the many awesome deals out there. Best wishes for a great day! Speaking of great days, everyone's favorite Fall Craft Boutique is Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 am to 2 pm. What a great time to check out the many unique gift items for the upcoming holidays. It's always so amazing to see the wares of your very talented neighbors. The Bistro is also promising to offer some tasty treats in case you get hungry. On Oct. 14, the mayor of Beaumont will be holding a Town Hall in The Lodge Ballroom for a State of the City presentation. It all starts at 6 pm so come on down and get informed about on what's going on. Gail of Gail's Games, will be back again with the super fun "Majority Rules" games on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 pm. The Smooth Jazz Combo will be playing from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and Stacy will be back doing an all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet! Gail will be having a free raff le with lots of giveaways. Majority Rules is a game where tables compete against each other for a fabulous prize. Everyone is welcome and feel free to bring your own favorite beverages. If sipping and painting is more up your alley, Rob Kelman is having another one of his Wine and Paint parties in the RCN. I've heard residents rave about how fun and creative they are and everyone seems to paint better when they're sipping. You do not have to be a real artist to participate; this is all about enjoying the friends and the process. It all takes place on Friday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 7 pm. Give Rob a call to make your reservations now: (951) 616-4111. The Four Seasons Senior Olympics Awards Ceremony will take place Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1 to 3 pm. We will be presenting medals to our Olympians who competed in the various games held here in the community as well as those who represented Four Seasons in the Valley Wide Oldlympics. Come on down and cheer on your neighbors! Refreshments will be served. Finally, "Fear Seasons" presents a Halloween Golf Cart Parade and Moonlit Masquerade with a Phantom Feast. The golf cart parade will take place at The Lodge with line-up at 3 pm, judging of the carts is at 3:15 pm, and parade begins at 3:30 pm. This will give plenty of time for the parade participants to complete the long parade route and to arrive back at the Moonlit Masquerade in time for dinner at 5:30 pm with the band starting at 6 pm. Stay tuned to the Activities Blast for the "Phantom Feast Menu." There is no price for admission and tickets are not required for this event … just come "dressed to kill" and enjoy a spooktacular evening! ~ Cindy Graves Activities Director's Report If you have seen an act of kindness or have received one, please share with the community. Let's spread gratitude! Email your gratitude to FourSeasonsNews@yahoo.com or go to The Lodge Lobby and fill out a gratitude note and put it in the box marked "The Box of Gratitude." Thank you. Expressing Gratitude I wanted to say thanks to the Board and the Bistro Committee for the quick response and eective campaign you ran to get us a replacement vendor for the Bistro. All of you deserve high marks and kudos. As residents, my husband and I are excited to have a " local" eatery again and we wish the new owners all the luck in the world. Dimitra Nicastro
