4 | LIFE IN SOLERA | OCTOBER 2024 | I'd like to welcome another new member to our committee, Janet Beck! We have a great group of people working on the committee, and I appreciate their dedication to helping our new residents feel welcomed and become acquainted with all that Solera has to offer. Our New Resident Social Gathering is Wed., Oct. 9 from 6 to 7:30 pm. In addition to helping our new residents meet one another, representatives from our many groups and clubs will be attending to share information about their activities. We'll be providing all new residents who attend a coupon book full of discounts generously provided at no cost by many of our local businesses. Drinks and snacks will be served, plus George Vawter will be providing musical entertainment. Invitations have been sent to our new residents and to group leaders. If you're a new resident or a group leader and didn't receive the information yet, please let me know. If you have any questions or want to find out more about the Welcome Committee, please feel free to contact me at (951) 499- 7790 or mnbdewey@yahoo.com. Thank you! ~ Brenda Dewey, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee Welcome Committee Solera Oak Valley Greens remains a safe and peaceful community through the combined efforts of the Solera HOA Board members, the HOA Management and Security Teams, the Solera residents, and local law enforcement. Here are some easy tips to continue to keep our community safe and crime-free. Always keep your home, vehicle, and personal property secure. • Don't leave your garage open and unattended. • Keep landscaping around your residence trimmed. • Develop communications with neighbors and exchange phone numbers. • Ensure dark areas around residents are always well- lit. • When walking or hiking alone, consider carrying a personal alarm. If after dark, also carry a flashlight. • When possible, travel in groups when walking or hiking. • Be aware of your surroundings at all times. • Have your vehicle keys ready when approaching your vehicle. • Don't allow unknown vehicles to tailgate when entering unmanned gates. Always keep pedestrian gates secured after entering/exiting. • If unmanned gates do not close, immediately report this to security so they can respond to secure the area. Always remember to report any unusual activity to Security at (951) 666-9577, Beaumont Police at (951) 769-8500 or 9-1-1 if it's an emergency, and the HOA Management team at (951) 769-7598. The CTAC Committee will continue to provide frequent Safety and Security tips to help keep you informed, safe and secure. CTAC Committee: Safety & Security
