October is our East Coast Cruise! So excited to see pictures and hear everyone's stories. November we will spend a week in the desert. Plans for 2025 are coming together don't miss out! Come join the fun! Come on Campers! Pour yourself some pumpkin spice and as always, stay safe and happy camping! Pictures provided by Mike and Carol Eo As the cooler air of October greets us to the upcoming holidays, family comes to mind. Gathering in celebration of one another over meals, events and outings warms our hearts, reminding us of what is truly important – family. Below, the rst two quilts, handmade by Cleta and Diane's mother years ago, illustrate just that. Inspired by their Mom's creativity, these two sisters continued the tradition and have been quilting for half a century! Moms are the heart of every home, and the details so lovingly quilted into each block demonstrate the comforting balm that holds everyone together. Also shown below (right), in the favorite colors of fall, Jenell Lamb quilted this beauty. Look for more seasonal inspirations as the holidays get under way! Seasons Quilters celebrated our third anniversary of being together as a Club in September. We can't believe three years has sewn by so quickly! To commemorate the occasion, we all enjoyed a festive lunch at Bennihana's in Temecula, followed by a quick run to a Quilt Shop in the area. Many of us will be spending the rest of this year embracing our UFO projects, (Unnished "Opportunities"). We always have fun no matter what we choose to work on, and the camaraderie amongst us is palpable, hence the term Quilting Bee. Originating in the 19th century, a "bee" is anther word for a party or social gathering, popularized as a way for women to gather around and showcase their talent while they talked and gossiped with each other. Although the 'topics' of current events may have changed, the joys of friendships and quilting have not. To date, there are far too many Quilting Bees in America to count, and world-wide, the passion for this unique cra is forever evolving. Seasons Quilters meet EVERY ursday, (except the fourth ursday) in the Arts & Cras Room from 10 am to 4 pm breaking for lunch at the Bistro at 12:30 pm. In October, we will meet on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 31st. For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects and forming forever friendships, stop by the Arts & Cras Room and see what's sewing! We would love to meet you.
