BRINGING HOME THE GOLD! Sun City Slammers Chair
Volleyball, once again, brings home the gold.
On July 25, the Sun City Slammers competed in a Chair Volleyball
tournament hosted by Riverside at their La Sierra Senior Center.
The Sun City Slammers took four teams to compete. To prepare
for the tournament, the teams practiced together for several weeks,
using skills and techniques they learned while attending clinics that
the Chair Volleyball club offers on the first Friday of every month.
It was evident that the time the players invested in learning
techniques for competition paid off when the two Division 1 teams
took first and second place.
All players had a great time mixing with other communities and
building new friendships.
We strongly encourage more people to join our club as there are
many benefits to Chair Volleyball, such as reducing stress, improving
cardiovascular fitness, increasing flexibility, and toning muscles.
It's a great way to socialize and enjoy exercise in a fun and safe
environment for our seniors.
