Join the Recreation Department and Recreation Advisory Committee for our annual Halloween Dog Costume Parade! The parade will take place at the Main Clubhouse Driving Range. Sign up now - there's a limit of 50 registered dogs. Awards will be handed out to Best Overall Costume, Most Creative, Most Glamorous and Most Scary. All dogs that participate will receive a treat for participation! Light beverages will be provided. Registration deadline is Wed., Oct. 23 by 4:30 pm. Sign up with the Rec. Dept. in the Main Clubhouse or call (951) 845-2191. Sat., Nov. 9 - Main Clubhouse parking lot and Ballroom at 9 am. This two-mile walk is in Sun Lakes and all the proceeds will benefit our local VFW Post 223. If you don't feel you can do two miles, there are turn back increments at the half mile, one mile and 1.5- mile markers. Registration forms available at the Rec. Dept.; the cost is $25 pp (checks only – payable to SLCC); you'll get a t-shirt and cont. breakfast. For disabled residents, you can still participate by entering your U.S.- decorated golf cart into the event.
