I recall in our September article saying we're
looking forward to cooler temps and being able to go
RVing. I'm writing this article at the beginning of
September and the 100 degree temps have returned.
I have looked into my crystal ball and I feel confident
that soon cooler temps will prevail. At least the mid
80s during the day and low 50s at night. Can't wait!
As we prepare for our next trip to Camp Verde, AZ, it appears
we'll have the same temps there, just not as chilly in the evening.
There are a number of places to go, such as, Verde Canyon Railroad,
Verde Brewing Co., Montezuma's Castle, Clear Creek Vineyard, Jeep
Tours, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Fort Verde State Historical Park,
and of course the Red Rocks of Sedona.
Looking forward to the rest of 2024 and into 2025, here are our
planned activities:
Sept. 29 – Oct. 4 – Distant Drums Rally in Camp
Verde, AZ
Oct. 13 – Annual Business Meeting and Pizza Party
– South Clubhouse, 5 pm; Jackets and shirts available
to try on
Dec. 8 – Annual Christmas Party – South Clubhouse, 5 pm
Feb. 1-2, 2025 – Home Rally – North Clubhouse, times TBD
March 23 – 30 – Yuma Trip
May 4 – 9 – RV Rally in Paso Robles at Wine Country RV Resort
July 29 – Mid Summer Potluck – South Clubhouse, 5 pm
Sept. 28 – Oct. 3 – RV Rally in Jackson, CA at Jackson Rancheria
