With that in mind, I want to remind everyone Clubhouse space is limited and must be reserved through the Recreation Department. Please note, if there is no one in a room, it does not mean that it isn't reserved. We are experiencing an increase in the number of parties and gatherings in our Clubhouse spaces and what was once always open on any given day and time is no longer the case. With the increase in events, there may be times when it is necessary for the team to prepare a Clubhouse before the set-up time on your room request. This usually occurs when additional events are scheduled in another Clubhouse(s) that need to be set up at the same time. If you see a room empty and you want to use it, please call the Main Clubhouse Receptionist at (951) 845- 2191 and we'll review what is scheduled for the day and give you the available options for your gathering. Everyone in the Recreation Department looks forward to assisting you to ensure that your event is a successful one. We have been busy getting ready for all the fun-filled events planned for upcoming months. We are going to have a Halloween Outdoor Home Decorating Contest. That should be exciting! Of course, there will be lots of music in the new Lounge and Ballroom as the cold weather approaches. You can't forget the Garage Sales weekends and Community Shredding day, and our annual Halloween Dog Parade. There is the Fall Craft Show Nov. 1 and 2. I can't wait to see what everyone has to offer this year. It's also time to begin thinking about our Annual Veterans Walk. We are looking for sponsors for the event (if you know of any local business, please have them give the Recreation Department a call). It is also a good time to get yourself ready for the walk — find a friend and walk a little bit every day so that when the big day arrives — you can do it! No matter what your interests there something for everyone – please join us. Message From The Recreation Department Manager No saving tables and/or pulling tables together unless your entire party is present. In the Lounge, if you are sitting at a table, you must be ordering food or drink. For your safety and for the safety of others around you, when possible, please ask a staff member to assist in moving tables or bringing out more chairs. Plasticware will be served on the Veranda during large events including Friday and Saturday night entertainment. Following the community rules is essential to ensure all residents have a pleasant experience here at Sun Lakes. REMINDER: LOUNGE & VERANDA RULES COMMUNITY SHREDDING Fri., Oct. 11, 9 am to 12 pm, Main Clubhouse parking lot; $5 per box. Do you have boxes of paper just lying around taking up space?
