Meet Our New Director of Golf
Hi everyone, my name is David A. Goldstein II. I am writing
to you all to introduce myself and to express how excited I am to
be your new Director of Golf ! My love for the game of golf began
when I was 16 years old. My father took me to the driving range
aer work for about a year before actually going out on the course
to play. My very rst round, my dad made a bet with the other two
golfers playing in the group, saying "My son will beat you both".
Fortunately, he was right. Aer the 18th hole the golfers paid my
dad and he handed me the money and said, "You earned it." Ever
since that day, I thought to myself, "Wow, I can win money by
having fun?" From then on, I was hooked.
I started my professional career at Oak Valley Golf Club just
across the way. I was there for four years as the First Assistant
Golf Professional and Lead Academy Instructor. During my time
at Oak Valley, I was fortunate to be able to go to China for a year
to teach junior golfers. Aer Oak Valley, I worked for eight years
at e Lakes Country Club as their First Assistant where I received
the Teacher of the Year award in 2016-2017 for the Desert Chapter.
In 2020, I became the Head Golf Professional at Monterey Country
Club followed by my most recent stint at Mission Lakes Country
Club as their Director of Golf.
I am honored and blessed to be your new Director and look
forward to our future here at Sun Lakes!
