Stroke Recovery Support Group
This group is designed to reach out to recovering stroke survivors. We meet to share our stories of varying
degrees of success, a sense of being understood, and of optimism for the future. Join us on Sundays from 12 to
2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Call Barbara Searcy for more information at (951) 663-3382.
Caregiver Support Group
Our next meeting and support group will be on Thurs., Oct. 17 at 10 am in the Main
Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker this month will be Lilibeth Johnson-
Mee. She will speak about hospice services, one of the most misunderstood and underused
FREE services available (Medicare foots the bill). Ms. Johnson-Mee started Wings of Hope
Hospice, located in Redlands, in 2015. She will explain how a team of skilled clinicians,
spiritual counselors, social workers, home health aides, and volunteers can help you and
your loved one. Hospice services are sometimes only called in for the last few days of a
patient's life, when they could provide a team of assistance many months prior.
We also have a program in the Arts & Crafts Room for your loved one. We care for your
loved one while you attend the meeting. We offer live entertainment, exercise, games, and
just plain fun. No one is forced to participate. Thank you to Willie Dave for entertaining
last month. A good time was had by all. This month we are excited to have Paul Alloway.
Paul always brings his brother Lance or another friend to entertain. It should be a very
entertaining morning.
